Every year, the Pétaney parking lot in Borex is transformed into a veritable 50s-60s setting. For one day, vintage car enthusiasts, families and the curious come together to share a convivial atmosphere punctuated by the sound of engines.
The Meeting Cars de Borex was born with the ambition of recreating, in the Nyon region, the atmosphere of the great automobile gatherings inspired by American culture. Over the years, the event has brought together owners from all over French and German-speaking Switzerland with their iconic pre-1976 vehicles: chrome sedans, mythical coupes, vintage pick-ups and legendary muscle cars.
For the 2026 edition, the gathering is also opening up to other vintage models from elsewhere, to broaden the scope of the event and welcome even more enthusiasts. Beyond the cars, a whole universe comes to life: retro decor, rock’n’roll music, street-food and a friendly atmosphere.
For many participants, these vehicles represent much more than just a hobby. They embody a period marked by optimism, bold design and freedom.
Some owners devote years to restoring their cars, often rescued from oblivion after decades of downtime. Each model tells a unique story of patience, mechanics and passion.
This gathering allows these enthusiasts to share their world with the public in a relaxed, family atmosphere.
The event is not just for car enthusiasts. It also attracts those nostalgic for the fifties and sixties, families and the curious looking for an original experience.

The meeting is organized by the Happy Days Diner team in Nyon, with the aim of bringing vintage car culture to life in the region and offering an annual event accessible to all. As of this year, the event is organized in collaboration with the team at Retro Rencardwhich gathers vintage car and motorcycle enthusiasts at the same venue in Borex every last Friday of the month from April to September. Over the years, the event has grown in popularity, attracting an ever-increasing number of visitors.
Do you own a pre-1976 car and would like to take part in the next edition?
No prior registration is necessary: just turn up with your vehicle. The rally is open to models corresponding to the theme, and favors a friendly, authentic atmosphere.
